Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms on Snowflake. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data modeling, medallion architecture , and modern data engineering practices.
This role will drive end-to-end data architecture, governance, and solution design, ensuring scalable, secure, and business-aligned data products across multiple domains.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Data Architecture
- Define and implement end-to-end data architecture strategy aligned with business objectives
- Design scalable, secure, and cost-efficient Snowflake-based architectures
- Establish reference architectures, standards, and best practices for enterprise data platforms
2. Data Modeling & Semantic Layer
- Lead design of enterprise data models (Conceptual, Logical, Physical)
- Define dimensional models (Star/Snowflake schemas), conformed dimensions, and KPIs
- Build and govern semantic layers for Analytics, BI, and AI consumption
3. Medallion Architecture Ownership
- Architect and implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers across multiple data domains
- Design data transformation frameworks (STTM) and reusable data products
- Establish standards for:
- Bronze Layer: Data ingestion
- Silver Layer: Data cleansing and harmonization
- Gold Layer: Business-ready curated datasets
4. Snowflake Platform Architecture
- Architect Snowflake solutions leveraging:
- Virtual Warehouses
- RBAC (Role-Based Access Control)
- Data sharing capabilities
- Implement data governance and security features (masking, row-level access policies)
- Define strategies for performance, scalability, and cost optimization
Data Engineering & ETL/ELT Strategy (Mandatory Tools)
- Define architecture for scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using IICS and DBT (mandatory)
- Establish DBT-based transformation frameworks across medallion layers
- Design integration patterns using:
- Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) for ingestion and orchestration
- Drive standardization of:
- Reusable pipelines
- Data transformation templates
- CI/CD and deployment practices
Mandatory Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and security
- IICS (Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services) – data integration and orchestration
- DBT (Data Build Tool) – transformations across medallion layers
- Proficiency in:
- SQL and advanced data transformations
- Cloud platforms: AWS / Azure / GCP
Nice to Have
- Experience with data product architecture / enterprise data marketplace
- Exposure to:
- AI/ML enablement and Snowflake Cortex
- Metadata/catalog tools (e.g., Alation, Collibra)
- Experience in large-scale migration and modernization programs
