Key Responsibilities
Incident Command: Lead and drive high-priority incident response bridge lines, coordinating efforts across diverse engineering, infrastructure, and application teams to restore normal service operations as quickly as possible.
Impact & Risk Assessment: Rapidly evaluate the severity of incidents based on customer impact, financial risk, regulatory compliance, and reputational exposure.
Executive Communication: Translate complex technical issues into clear, concise business updates. Draft and distribute formal incident alerts and status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Escalation Management: Manage timely escalations to internal engineering teams, third-party vendors, and executive management according to established SLAs.
Post-Incident Review (PIR): Facilitate post-major incident reviews to document chronological timelines, establish root causes, and partner with Problem Management to ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented.
Continuous Improvement: Identify trends in incident data to recommend process, tooling, and automation enhancements across the incident management lifecycle.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Strong experience in Technology Operations, IT Service Management (ITSM), or Major Incident Management, ideally within a large-scale financial institution or highly regulated environment.
Framework Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of ITIL frameworks (ITIL v3 or v4 certification is highly preferred).
Crisis Leadership: Proven experience managing high-stress situations with an authoritative yet collaborative command presence.
Tools: Proficiency with enterprise ITSM ticketing and monitoring tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Splunk, PagerDuty, xMatters).
