Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality reports and dashboards using Sigma Computing
- Build and manage Sigma Data Models and semantic layers for scalable and reusable reporting
- Leverage Sigma AI Builder to accelerate insights and enable self-service analytics
- Apply best practices in reporting design, usability, and data visualization
Data Modeling & Performance
- Apply expertise in dimensional data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas) for performance and accuracy
- Write, tune, and optimize Snowflake SQL queries for reporting workloads
- Troubleshoot performance and data issues across Snowflake and Sigma environments
Architecture & Governance
- Own Sigma architecture decisions including:
- Data modeling patterns
- Performance strategies
- Governance frameworks
- Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and reliability across reporting assets
- Define and promote reporting standards and development best practices
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to:
- Gather and refine reporting requirements
- Define KPIs and reporting frameworks
- Translate business needs into scalable analytical solutions
Leadership & Mentoring
- Guide and mentor developers on Sigma best practices
- Provide architectural direction and enforce development standards
Primary Skills
- Strong understanding of Dimensional Data Modeling & Analytical Data Design
- Experience designing enterprise-scale BI/Analytics platforms
- Proven expertise in Sigma Computing, including:
- Data Model Builder
- AI Builder
- Report & Dashboard Development
- Strong data visualization and UX-focused reporting design mindset
- Experience working directly with stakeholders to define KPIs and metrics
- Ability to design end-to-end reporting architectures
- Advanced Snowflake expertise, including query optimization
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Secondary Skills
- Insurance domain knowledge (preferred)
