Summary / Scope:
- QC Technical Inspector (TI) for the AH-64E Apache Program is responsible for quality control, conducting in-process and final inspections, and ensuring all maintenance complies with safety standards, military, and FAA regulations.
- Technical Inspector will be working as technical expert for AH-64E Platform and responsible for clearing all the critical (Grounding-X, Circled-X) unscheduled /scheduled maintenance and repair actions on assigned aircraft/components. Also, is responsible for the daily “by the book” maintenance/repair of all relevant aircraft/components and the proper completion of aircraft daily maintenance and historical records.
Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Review and audit technical records supporting aircraft and component airworthiness in line with relevant DA-PAM and related publications.
- Inspect aircraft and components during removal, disassembly, assembly, installation, and adjustments to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and maintenance manuals.
- Ensure all work-in-progress is properly documented and corrective actions are recorded per TAMMS-(A) and approved SOPs.
- Maintain accurate aircraft historical records to prevent component overflight of SSL, overhaul, or retirement limits.
- Execute OEM Bulletins, Maintenance, and Safety Messages accurately and on time.
- Submit Product Quality Deficiency Reports and support Quality Control during aircraft incidents or accidents.
- Oversee Quality Control for all required aircraft modifications.
- Test airframe connection tightness and inspect part fit using proper tools.
- Verify accuracy of component installation using precision measuring tools to confirm required tolerances.
- Act as Quality Control Supervisor during absences and perform assigned duties as directed.
- Conduct scheduled facility audits for safety and policy compliance.
- Perform QC duties off-site when required.
- Report unsafe practices or maintenance actions that could compromise safety or airworthiness and support the QC Supervisor in evaluations.
- Adhere to all company SOPs, and Review aircraft records to identify discrepancy trends and problem areas.
- Prepare correspondence, technical reports, contract documents, and status updates as required.
- Monitor and evaluate aircraft components, maintenance processes, and operational use to identify root causes of failures and recommend procedural or usage improvements.
Required Qualification & Licensing:
- Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, associate degree in an aviation‑related field is preferred.
- A&P License, or equivalent. If no A&P, an FCC license (Elements 1 and 3) may be required alongside extensive, specific AH-64 QC Technical Inspector experience.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) is strongly preferred.
Required Experience:
- At least 10 years of overall military aviation maintenance experience working as 15R/ AH64 D/E Mechanic.
- Strong background in Aviation Unit Maintenance (AVUM) and Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVIM), along with Full Technical Inspector authorization.
- Quality Control experience on aircraft modifications is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of TAMMS-A (The Army Maintenance Management System – Aviation).
