We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and results-driven Purchasing Agent to lead procurement operations supporting our custom millwork and woodworking production environment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring materials, hardware, and supplies are sourced efficiently, cost-effectively, and on schedule to support manufacturing and installation deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain coordination, or materials management within construction, manufacturing, millwork, fabrication, or related industries.
- Ability to review and interpret purchase orders, vendor quotations, shop drawings, material submittals, and project specifications to ensure ordering accuracy.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to manage multiple active purchase orders and projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Effective vendor management and communication skills, including the ability to negotiate timelines, resolve discrepancies, and maintain professional supplier relationships.
- Proficiency working within ERP or purchasing management systems for procurement tracking, inventory coordination, and order management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience purchasing materials for architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, commercial interiors, metal fabrication, or custom construction projects.
- Experience with Material Take Offs and Schedule of Values. Determine substitute materials when applicable.
- Working knowledge of materials commonly used in custom fabrication and millwork environments, including:
- Sheet goods and plywood
- Hardwood lumber and veneers (Panel Lay-Up)
- Architectural hardware
- Solid surface materials
- Laminates (Panel Lay-Up)
- Metal fabrication materials and custom components
- Knowledge of veneer matching, finishing products, and custom architectural materials
- Experience using project-based ERP systems, Tradesoft Suite of software or comparable ERP.
- Familiarity with AWI standards, custom fabrication workflows, and production scheduling practices.
- Background in woodworking, cabinetry, carpentry, or construction trades

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
