We are seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to help support our project management team and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Position Summary
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with a minimum of 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of assisting with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and communication between project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
This role plays a key part in supporting project execution from pre-construction through completion while helping maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
This is a performance-driven role with profit-sharing bonus opportunities tied to company and project success.
Key Responsibilities
Assist Project Managers with the planning and execution of commercial construction projects
Help coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle
Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Track project schedules, milestones, and deadlines
Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, and change orders
Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and logs
Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure project requirements are met
Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor coordination
Help ensure compliance with project plans, safety requirements, and quality standards
Support project closeout procedures and final documentation
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in commercial construction or construction management
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred)
Basic understanding of commercial construction methods and building systems
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong organizational and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills
Experience working on commercial construction projects
Familiarity with project management or construction management software
Knowledge of Florida building codes and permitting processes
Experience coordinating subcontractors and project schedules
Compensation
$70,000 – $80,000 annual salary (based on experience)
Profit-sharing opportunity based on company performance
