The Gateways Inn, a historic boutique inn in the heart of Lenox, MA, is seeking a friendly, reliable Bartender / Server to join our hospitality team. This role combines bartending and table service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a dynamic, guest-focused environment.
Position Overview:
The Bartender / Server provides warm, attentive service to our guests in the bar and dining areas. This role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Provide table service, including taking orders, delivering food and drinks, and checking in with guests
- Maintain a clean, organized bar and service area
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
- Follow all alcohol service guidelines and safety procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Create a welcoming, professional atmosphere for guests
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
Qualifications:
- TIPS certified
- Previous bartending and/or serving experience preferred
- Knowledge of classic cocktails and beverage service is a plus
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must meet Massachusetts requirements for alcohol service
