We’re seeking a Product Designer to help shape Community experiences that deepen connection between members, practices, and content. You’ll design social and participatory experiences including discussion spaces, groups, live events, peer-to-peer interactions, and other community-driven features. We value designers who balance strong visual craft with systems thinking, user empathy, and practical execution. This role requires someone who can work collaboratively, think strategically, and create thoughtful experiences in an evolving product environment. While the primary focus will be Community, this role will also contribute to broader product experiences across the Gaia platform to help ensure a cohesive member experience. Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end community and social experiences across web and mobile
- Create user flows, interaction patterns, and information architecture that support engagement and belonging
- Contribute to and evolve Gaia’s design system and visual language
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions
- Use analytics and user insights to iterate on experiences and identify opportunities for improvement
- Deliver clean, production-ready Figma files and collaborate with developers through implementation
- Balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in a fast-moving environment
- 5 years of product design experience, preferably within growth-stage B2C companies
- Demonstrated experience designing community, social, or engagement-driven experiences
- Strong understanding of information architecture and interaction design
- Experience designing responsive web and mobile applications
- Proficiency in Figma and component-based design systems
- Ability to leverage AI tools throughout the design process to support research, ideation, prototyping, and workflow efficiency
- Strong visual design fundamentals including typography, layout, accessibility, and hierarchy
- Experience conducting user research and applying data-informed design thinking
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines
- Comfortable working autonomously in ambiguous or early-stage product environments
- Basic understanding of frontend development constraints and implementation workflows
- Must be available to work onsite in Louisville, CO
- Experience designing community platforms
- Experience with AI/ML-driven product experiences
