Crusher Operator

The crusher operator handles all mining related activities including management of crew, maintenance and operation of all equipment and fulfilling production requirements. Ensure goals are met safely and efficiently while adhering to company policies.

Position Responsibilities:

• Evaluate aggregates to blend and screen as required
• Coordinate all compliance with MSHA, OSHA, and DEP
• Comply with Federal and State governmental health and safety regulations and procedure.
• Coordinate the reclamation process of non-active mine areas
• Read, understand, and interpret material testing procedures and gradations etc., and make required adjustments to material blends.
• Review, understand and carryout correct operating and maintenance procedures for all equipment
• Schedule resources needed for each job daily and establish an efficient work schedule
• Work with operations to communicate the most effective equipment applications, maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Responsible for general and specific safety practices, following company safety procedures, and cooperating with our safety representative in a positive pro-active manner.
• Operates crushing and screening machinery.
• Keeps all conveyor belts and areas between rollers, pulley, and catwalk clear of mud, dirt, rock, and debris with shovel or skid steer.
• Maintain plant by greasing, oiling, and lubrication of all points on the conveyor, crusher, and other equipment.
• Assists maintenance department in the maintenance of the crusher.
• Keeps clean all related areas around crushers and other equipment.
• Perform daily equipment walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions.
• Completes aggregate reports and other documentation as required.
• Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
• Mechanical, troubleshooting and welding/fabrication skills
• Advanced knowledge of crusher operation, conveyor systems and maintenance.
• Must be able to multitask and adapt to support manufacturing
• Must be able to work well within a team environment
• Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in crushing equipment maintenance and operations
• Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office products
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must be able to lift between 50-100lbs regularly.

Pay: $46,645.00 - $55,735.00 per year
