Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Office Manager to manage the day-to-day accounting and financial recordkeeping functions of our club. This position plays an important role in supporting accurate financial reporting, member billing, vendor payments, payroll coordination, bank reconciliations, and internal controls in a professional, service-focused club environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger entries, and supporting documentation.
· Prepare and process accounts payable, accounts receivable, member billing, and deposits.
· Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, balance sheet accounts, and monthly statements.
· Assist with monthly financial reporting, budget tracking, cash flow monitoring, and variance review.
· Coordinate payroll information, employee deductions, tips, bonuses, and related reporting as needed.
· Support annual budgeting, audit preparation, tax filings, insurance records, and other compliance requirements.
· Maintain vendor files, member account records, contracts, and organized accounting documentation.
· Work closely with the General Manager, department heads, board members, and outside accountants or advisors.
· Help strengthen internal controls and ensure club financial procedures are followed consistently.
· Perform other administrative and accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Prior bookkeeping, accounting, comptroller, or office management experience required.
· Experience in a country club, private club, hospitality, membership-based organization, or similar environment preferred.
· Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial reporting.
· Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel required; experience with Jonas club management software is a plus.
· Excellent attention to detail, organization, confidentiality, and follow-through.
· Ability to communicate professionally with members, vendors, staff, management, and board leadership.
· Associate degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.

Schedule and Compensation
This is a full-time position. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications. Benefits may include paid time off, holidays, meals and health benefits.
