Production Planner
Burlington, MA Area | Direct Hire
Gabriele & Company is working with a client in the Burlington, MA area to fill a Production Planner role. This person will develop and maintain production schedules that keep customer commitments on track and manufacturing running efficiently, working closely with manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, customer service, and quality to align materials, labor, and equipment with production goals.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand, inventory, and capacity.
- Analyze sales orders, forecasts, and material availability to create achievable production plans.
- Partner with Purchasing to ensure materials and components are available to support the schedule.
- Monitor work orders and adjust plans for shortages, downtime, engineering changes, or shifting priorities.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors to balance workloads and resource utilization.
- Maintain accurate planning data in the ERP/MRP system and communicate schedule changes cross-functionally.
- Participate in S&OP meetings and support continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3 years of production planning or production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / continuous improvement principles.
Compensation
$70,000–$75,000, bonus eligible
