What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Buyer position at Gabriele & Company?
The Jr. Buyer provides purchasing support for manufacturing needs, issues POs, and manages intercompany ordering with sister facilities. In this role you will serve as the primary link between suppliers and Sales/Manufacturing, and you will serve as back up to the Purchasing Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow using work orders, in-house ERP system, and through-put reports to keep POs on schedule.
- Maintain accurate PO confirmation dates, pricing, and quantities against supplier commitments.
- Own supplier communication: confirmation dates, pricing/quality issues, engineering revisions, and OTD/quality performance; coordinate report cards and corrective action requests as needed.
- Handle non-inventory purchasing within approved spending limits, confirming dates, pricing
- Place intercompany POs to sister facilities as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse, receiving, and QC to resolve receiving discrepancies and keep materials flowing.
- Interpret ERP/through put purchasing reports and manage the open PO report.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma required with Associates a bonus.
- Prior buying/purchasing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Proficient MS Word and Excel; data reporting
Local candidates will be considered.

Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
