Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Accountant to join our collaborative team. This role manages construction draws, maintains accurate financial records, and supports reporting processes across the Gabriel Builders family of companies.
The ideal candidate is meticulous, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash flow across all Gabriel Builders entities
- Review and maintain the QuickBooks Online (QBO) general ledger, including journal entries
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation
- Prepare monthly construction draws for active projects
- Post accounts receivable invoices from Buildertrend to QBO
- Manage monthly and annual close processes, including reporting activities
- Coordinate builders risk insurance for projects and communicate with insurance agents
- Collaborate with CPA on annual tax returns and audit processes
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal teams regarding billing and payment inquiries
- Monitor project budgets and job cost allocations
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures

Requirements:- Construction accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
