Our Client Company, a well-established global manufacturing organization known for innovation, quality, and operational excellence, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to join its manufacturing operation in Johnson City, Tennessee.

What You’ll Do

As the Senior Quality Engineer, you’ll play a key leadership role in improving product quality, supporting manufacturing operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Lead and mentor the Quality Engineering and Quality Technician team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and statistical analysis.
• Investigate quality issues utilizing Root Cause Analysis, 8D, 5 Why, and corrective/preventive action methodologies.
• Support manufacturing by identifying opportunities to reduce defects and improve process capability.
• Partner with suppliers to improve supplier quality and resolve production issues.
• Manage supplier PPAP approvals and supplier quality initiatives.
• Lead ISO 9001 quality system compliance and internal quality initiatives.
• Analyze manufacturing and supplier data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Develop quality metrics and present findings to leadership.
• Support new product launches and manufacturing process improvements.
• Coach and develop quality personnel while helping build a culture of operational excellence.
  
  

Qualifications

We’re looking for professionals who have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 5 years of Quality Engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong background in:
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Six Sigma methodologies
• Root Cause Analysis
• 8D Problem Solving
• PPAP
• Supplier Quality
• ISO 9001
• Experience using Minitab, Excel, and other quality analysis tools.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP)
• Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)
• Master’s Degree in Engineering
• Experience with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke)
