As a Product Quality Specialist based in Stuarts Draft, VA, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing quality and regulatory activities at our plant. Your main duties will include investigating quality-related manufacturing issues, evaluating product and process defects, identifying quality trends, and developing engineering solutions to enhance manufacturing performance. This role will require you to work closely with cross-functional teams, engage in continuous improvement projects, assist with process validation and capability studies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality procedures.
- Promote a safe work environment, practice safe work habits, and contribute to safety initiatives and ongoing improvement efforts.
- Maintain high product quality standards, reduce process variability, and lead initiatives to enhance overall product performance.
- Offer technical leadership and assistance to production departments in troubleshooting process and equipment challenges.
- Optimize performance, enhance operational stability, and support production objectives by monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting process control systems.
- Establish positive relationships with hourly employees, offering technical guidance and training on process enhancements, safety precautions, quality benchmarks, and efficiency enhancements.
- Identify, assess, and implement initiatives to boost safety, quality, productivity, reliability, and cost performance as part of continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field
- 1 year or more of experience in manufacturing quality (including internships)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions
