JOB OVERVIEW:
A well-established organization dominating the market in their fabrication sector, offering a positive work environment, seeks a skilled Fabrication Engineer for their plant in the southwest vicinity of Atlanta, GA. With recent investments in new equipment, the position will report to the Manager of Fabrication Engineering. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and planning manufacturing processes, analyzing equipment layout, assembly methods, and workforce efficiency to achieve production goals according to product specifications. The role includes attractive benefits, bonus potential, and a 401k plan with a 5% match. The typical work week ranges from 8 to 50 hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create production tooling designs using 2D & 3D tools like SolidWorks.
- Enhance productivity on existing production lines.
- Conduct root cause analysis using statistical methods and recommend design, tolerance, or process changes, including Lean Tools.
- Develop and implement production processes for new and existing products.
- Perform FMEA on products related to designs, materials, or processes.
- Review product designs for manufacturability and efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance productivity.
- Utilize design of experiments, lean manufacturing, ROIA, etc.
- Conduct design review meetings for products.
- Create work instructions, spare parts lists, and implement automation systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and tooling knowledge.
- Project management experience and familiarity with automation systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and authorization to work in the USA without sponsorship.
