A leading company in industrial refrigeration, HVAC, and metal fabrication systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer or HVAC Design Engineer for a client-focused role based in Appleton, WI. This position offers a chance to work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver customized HVAC solutions and maintain strong client relationships in a stable environment.
Daily Responsibilities
- Scope & Feasibility Analysis: Assess project scope and propose technical solutions.
- System Engineering & Design: Design HVAC systems for various facilities.
- Engineering Calculations: Perform load calculations and design plant layouts.
- Bid Support & Modeling: Assist with creating bid designs and models.
- Client Presentation & Scope Drafting: Present proposals directly to clients.
- Plan Review & Compliance: Ensure compliance with mechanical and energy codes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of commercial/industrial HVAC design.
- Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and Excel.
- Client Interaction: Strong communication skills and ability to work with various stakeholders.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the region.
Preferred Skills
- Mechanical Contractor Background: Previous experience in mechanical contracting.
- Certifications: CEM or LEED AP accreditation.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with various HVAC systems and codes.
