Job Title: Journeyman Electrician

Location: Southwestern CT / Fairfield County Area (On-Site)

Pay Rate: $38.00 – $44.00 / hour (DOE) Overtime

Position Overview

Prominent electrical company established for over three decades is in search of licensed Journeyman Electricians to oversee small teams on job sites and conduct electrical installations in the commercial, medical, and industrial sectors throughout CT and Westchester County, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, organize, and implement electrical setups based on design sketches, diagrams, and architectural plans.

• Supervise and manage small crews at various commercial, industrial, and medical locations.

• Set up, fix, and evaluate wiring, illumination, electrical panels, and conductive components to ensure adherence to local and national regulations.

• Attend to the responsibility of site tools, machinery, and supplies; strictly follow company safety protocols (Haz-Com, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space).

Core Requirements & Vetting Criteria

• Licensing: Active State of Connecticut Journeyman Electrical License (E-2 or E-1) required.

• Credentials: Valid Driver’s License (clean record); must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening.

• Capabilities: Comfort working at heights (ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts) and in restricted/confined spaces; able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

• Certifications: OSHA 30 and NFPA 70E strongly preferred.

• Skills: Strong blueprint reading, conductor phasing/color code identification, and crew communication skills.
