Accounting Manager

This role is based in Fort Wayne, IN. Relocation assistance is available.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a boutique accounting firm dedicated to serving nonprofit organizations. This is a rare opportunity for a licensed CPA to step into a leadership role with a direct path to partnership and co-ownership within two years.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee client accounting workpapers, adjustments, and financial statements
• Lead compliance efforts and ensure adherence to professional standards and regulations
• Manage peer review and the firm’s System of Quality Management
• Conduct internal audits and provide compliance training for staff
• Support nonprofit clients with budgeting, grants, audits, and Form 990 preparation
• Track KPIs and drive operational improvements
• Contribute to staff development, training, and recruitment
  
  

What You Bring

• CPA license and bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Background in public accounting (audit, tax, or both preferred)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
