About the Role
A Cashier at GA·RA welcomes guests, takes orders, handles payments, and supports the front of house team. As the first point of contact for many guests, the Cashier sets the tone for the GA·RA experience. This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to great service.
You Will
- Greet guests warmly and guide them through the ordering process.
- Enter orders accurately into the POS system.
- Handle payments and manage the cash drawer.
- Stock register station supplies and maintain a clean workspace.
- Support baristas and line servers during peak business.
- Engage guests with friendly and positive service.
- Assist with closing the register and end of day tasks.
- Complete all daily, weekly, and as needed cleaning duties.
You Are
- Friendly, welcoming, and confident when speaking with guests.
- Comfortable handling transactions and multitasking.
- Organized and attentive to detail.
- A team player who supports others during busy times.
You Have
- Experience in a kitchen, cafe, or fast casual environment is helpful but not required.
- Experience using POS systems.
- Flexibility for weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to move comfortably in a busy cafe environment.
