Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and energetic Cafe Team Members to join our team! As a vital part of our cafe, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. If you are detail-oriented and love creating positive experiences for others, we want to hear from you! Students welcome to apply. Weekday flexibility preferred.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Basic math and computer skills
- Existing Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days post-hire
Position Responsibilities:
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting menu items
- Utilize Square point of sale cash register system to take orders and process payments accurately
- Assemble customer orders with precision and efficiency
- Maintain a welcoming and positive environment for guests and staff alike
- Assist with food preparation, including prepping fruit, bowls, smoothies, etc.
- Address customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Assist in stocking inventory and replenishing supplies as needed, notifying management of any food orders or shortages
- Perform cleaning tasks throughout the day and during closing procedures, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including cleaning tables, countertops, and equipment
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for both staff and customers
