What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at GA Probate Lawyers?
Overview:
EP Case Coordinators perform substantive billable legal work under the direction
of one or more attorneys in the office. A Case Coordinator’s primary goal is to
support our legal team with information gathering, drafting estate planning
documents and client correspondence, preparing for client meetings, and filing
documents after the signing appointment.
Reporting Relationship:
The EP Case Coordinators perform their duties under the direction of one or
more attorneys to whom they may be assigned. A Case Coordinator’s
employment relationship with the Firm is managed by the Firm Administrator.
Authority:
Case Coordinators are prohibited by the ABA’s rules of Professional Conduct and
State Bar Association rules on practicing law. All work done by Case
Coordinators must be in support of and under the direct supervision of an attorney.
In dealing with clients, Case Coordinators must be careful not to inadvertently slip
into the unlawful practice of law. This would include answering client questions
about what will happen in their situation or recommending that a client undertake
a certain course of action regarding their estate plan.
We are a tech-forward firm, so you should be able to solve basic tech problems yourself. If you're not a fan of new tech, this position is probably not the best for you.
The Case Coordinator is a non-exempt position.
Salary : $25 - $35
