The Survey Rodman works directly with the Survey Crew Chief, performing a variety of land surveying activities that are physical in nature, such as carrying supplies, holding equipment, driving stakes and clearing lines. The Survey Rodman will perform these tasks in a wide range of temperatures and work environments, under direction from the Crew Chief or Professional Land Surveyor’s direction. This presents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to propel their careers in land surveying, particularly within the realm of large-scale commercial construction projects catering to clients in both the public and private sectors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Survey Crew Chief in performing land surveys.
- Clean and maintain the condition of all survey equipment.
- Keep truck interior and toolbox picked up and clear of trash.
- Keep truck stocked with daily supplies.
- Keep radio batteries charged.
SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS
- Ability to gain a working knowledge and understanding of field staking procedures for land surveying and construction staking.
- Strong math skills preferred.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Ability to fully understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Skills to operate basic office equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
- Basic written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
- Ability to understand verbal direction for field work instruction.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
