Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing walls, and emptying skimmer baskets to maintain optimal water quality.
- Conduct regular pool maintenance checks on pumps, filters, heaters, and chemical feeders to ensure proper operation.
- Diagnose and repair equipment issues using hand tools and power tools, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Monitor water chemistry levels daily; adjust chemical treatments to maintain safe pH and sanitizer levels according to health standards.
- Inspect pool structures for damage or wear; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed with appropriate equipment.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical treatments, and repairs for each pool serviced.
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment efficiently.
- Experience with pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters, balancing water chemistry, and inspecting structural components preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely for equipment repair and maintenance preferred.
- Knowledge of pool cleaning techniques and the use of specialized cleaning tools.
- Service technician experience preferred; ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to routine maintenance tasks.
