SERVICE TECHNICIAN
POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Technician Level will perform seasonal maintenance on residential and residential pool equipment with the responsibility to educate homeowners on issues or improvements needed. Additionally, the Service Technician will run demand service calls on residential and is assigned to the on-call schedule.

OBJECTIVES
- Expert knowledge of Opening and Closing procedures and water chemistry.
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent equipment failure by cleaning filter systems, replacing filters, motors, pumps, etc. on systems.
- Assists in locating and diagnosing problems, assessing the extent of repairs, and describing options and associated costs to the customer. Provides a description of diagnosed problems to customers in terms that can be understood with options, as possible.
- Assists with repairs of complete systems to include repairing, calibrating, or replacing equipment. piping and other functional components of the system.
- Ensures that all repairs and installations are accurate, serviceable and that materials used, and workmanship meet the requirements of applicable technical/safety standards and regulatory codes. Make any modification needed to ensure proper installation.
- Document and report system performances in Verizon Connect.
- Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records in Verizon Connect.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal and/or external).
- Meet sales goals and performance metrics.
- Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and truck stock.
COMPETENCIES
- Thorough knowledge of residential pool services.
- Computer proficiency- Microsoft Office, Outlook email, tablet knowledge.
- Well organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Adequate written communication skills. Proficient in English.
- High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work.
- Well-organized with exceptional follow-through abilities.
- Ability to build trust and diffuse conflict.
- Clean appearance, and Positive attitude.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential pool services
- Must possess valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Wear safety attire, such as goggles or other protective clothing.
- Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting.
