Position - Project Logistics Coordinator

Location - Houston, TX 77077

Duration - 1.5 years

Pay Rate - $34/hour on W2

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Logistics Coordinator to support logistics activities within a large-scale project environment. This role will act as a key interface between procurement, expediting, inspection, and logistics teams to ensure smooth coordination, shipment visibility, and timely delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with logistics service providers to track and monitor shipment status
• Identify and escalate potential delays or risks impacting delivery timelines
• Support freight quote requests and logistics forecasting activities
• Prepare and maintain logistics reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Assist in resolving freight invoice and payment-related issues
• Collaborate with project teams to support logistics strategies for equipment movement
• Investigate process non-compliance, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions
• Contribute to continuous improvement of logistics processes
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, expediting, and vendors

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field OR 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience in project logistics or supply chain coordination
• Strong understanding of shipment tracking, reporting, and vendor coordination
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting capital or mega projects (EPC, oil & gas, construction, etc.)
• Exposure to freight forwarding or logistics contract management
• Familiarity with SAP or Smart Materials
• Experience working in multicultural or global project environments
