Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Planner
Location: West Orange, TX (Onsite)
Duration: Contract
Pay rate: $50/hour on W2
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Maintenance Planners to support a major project in West Orange, TX. The selected candidates will be responsible for developing detailed maintenance work packages, planning resources, coordinating maintenance activities, and supporting the safe and efficient execution of work within petrochemical processing units.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical maintenance background with hands-on experience planning work for critical rotating equipment in petrochemical, refining, chemical manufacturing, or similar industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Review maintenance work orders and verify scope completeness.
• Develop comprehensive maintenance job plans and work packages.
• Identify labor requirements, tools, materials, equipment, and contractor services needed for execution.
• Conduct field walkdowns to validate job scope, equipment conditions, and work execution requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed maintenance procedures, job plans, and checklists.
• Ensure all work packages incorporate applicable safety requirements, hazard assessments, permits, and maintenance procedures.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, engineering, reliability, and project teams.
• Support turnaround, outage, shutdown, and project planning activities.
• Utilize CMMS systems to manage work orders, planning activities, and maintenance documentation.
• Continuously improve work plans through technician and stakeholder feedback.
Required Qualifications
• Associate Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent maintenance experience.
• 3 years of Maintenance Planning experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong Mechanical Maintenance background.
• Experience planning maintenance activities for critical rotating equipment.
• Experience developing maintenance work packages and detailed job plans.
• Ability to perform field walkdowns and scope verification.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety procedures, permit systems, hazard assessments, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Experience with SAP PM, Maximo, GEMTS, Infor EAM, or similar CMMS systems.
Preferred Experience
• Petrochemical, Chemical Manufacturing, Refining, Ethylene/Ethane Cracker, LNG, or Heavy Industrial Facilities.
• Turnaround, Shutdown, Outage, or Capital Project Planning.
• Experience supporting maintenance activities within process units, towers, and cryogenic systems.
Critical Equipment Experience Preferred
