Position Summary
The Senior Production Manager oversees end-to-end production operations for the Dresses business. This role is responsible for driving production excellence across development, bulk production, and delivery while ensuring margin integrity, quality standards, and on-time execution. Partnering closely with Design, Technical Design, Fabric, Merchandising, Sales, Logistics, and Global Sourcing teams, the Senior Production Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering product that reflects our Dresses brands’ elevated aesthetic and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Management & Cost Control
- Lead and negotiate FOB garment costing with overseas offices and direct vendors.
- Monitor and manage production costs to meet or exceed margin targets.
- Partner with Design and Merchandising to develop cost-effective solutions for margin-sensitive styles without compromising quality or brand standards.
- Confirm seasonal costing, delivery calendars, and production feasibility across all styles.
Purchase Order & Production Execution
- Issue purchase orders and oversee production from order placement through final delivery.
- Track production status and proactively address potential risks to timing or execution.
- Collaborate with Merchandising and Buying teams to manage production delays and delivery adjustments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Design, Technical Design, and Fabric teams throughout development and production.
- Maintain daily communication with Logistics teams regarding air and ocean freight planning.
- Partner with Quality Control teams to resolve production or quality issues.
- Support Sales teams with production projections, minimums, delivery timelines, and sample needs.
Operational Oversight
- Maintain detailed production tracking, reporting, and analysis using Excel and internal systems.
- Ensure compliance with garment testing, labeling, and regulatory standards.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, cost control, and production workflows.
Qualifications:
Experience & Education
- 8-10 years of experience in overseas production management within the apparel industry.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary dresses category and production processes preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced expertise in garment costing, vendor negotiation, and margin management.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric testing, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to analyze cost breakdowns and accurately estimate pricing.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems proficiency.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with proven cross-functional leadership ability.

Salary:
The pay range for this position is $85,000 - $105,000 annually.
