GH Tool & Mold (a Division of Tooling Tech Group) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Quality leader to elevate our die cast tool manufacturing team to the next level. The Quality Manager will oversee all quality and ISO compliance efforts and drive quality improvement throughout the organization.

This position will be responsible for managing QA personnel including scheduling, training and coaching employees, as well as formulating quality assurance policies, conducting audits and root cause analyses, as well as issuing corrective action plan reports.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervises and develops Quality group staff to support all shifts.
  • Facilitates work flow to ensure products are completed according to schedule and quality expectations.
  • Implements actions to prevent nonconformance, identify problems, and prevent further processing of nonconforming product in accordance with QMS standards.
  • Partners with internal customers to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Oversees maintenance and calibration of all metrology tools and equipment.
  • Proactively identifies and rectifies problem areas according to QMS standards
  • Certifies the integrity of all results reported by the QA department
  • Maintains valid & credible records of all product passing through the QA lab

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum B.S. Degree in an Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of Quality Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the aerospace or automotive industry
  • Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems (QS-9000 as applicable for automotive sector).
  • Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices.
  • Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis).
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation and problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative and cooperative work style both internally and externally with a “can do” attitude

Founded in 1983, G.H. Tool & Mold is a die cast tooling manufacturer with 3 facilities and over 150 employees. GH Tool & Mold is a leading provider of high-pressure die cast dies, designing and building dies for machines with locking forces from 350 to 4000 tons. Our specialty is producing tools for high volume, long lifecycle programs for a wide variety of parts used in the automotive, lawn and garden and consumer products industries. Some typical components include gear cases, transmission cases and covers, valve bodies and channel plates, converter housings, engine blocks, head covers, cam carriers, oil pans, timing chain covers, and other engine accessories such as alternators, starters and brackets.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
