Position Summary
G&H Tool and Die is seeking an experienced Shop Floor Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a small job shop. This position will be responsible for keeping approximately 15–20 employees productive and on task, controlling workflow, and ensuring jobs are completed on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of 15–20 shop floor employees
- Control workflow and keep production moving efficiently
- Ensure jobs are completed on time
- Help prepare completed jobs for delivery
- Answer employee and production-related questions
- Obtain necessary materials and resources for shop floor employees
- Help maintain an organized and productive shop floor
Qualifications
- Previous machine shop experience is required
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a machine shop is preferred
- Ability to manage workflow and keep employees productive
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced job-shop environment
