Gatson Evans Logistics & Transport is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Driver/Operator to join our team. This role involves operating commercial trucks to haul wood chips, wood shavings, fuel, and related materials on assigned routes.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (tractor-trailer and similar equipment)
- Transport loads including chips, shavings, fuel, and other materials
- Load and unload freight as required and ensure proper securement
- Follow assigned routes while complying with DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain basic logs
- Communicate with dispatch regarding deliveries, delays, or issues
Requirements
- Valid CDL (appropriate endorsements preferred)
- Experience hauling bulk materials, fuel, or similar freight
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism
