3rd Shift Training Coordinator

The Training and Development Specialist is responsible for the onboarding of new hires, Identifying staff training needs, planning and developing training material along with organizing and executing training based on specific individual needs.

This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management systems to help reduce risks and promote a culture of safety across the company.

Principal Duties:

• 
  Conduct level 2 orientation sessions and coordinate on the job training activities.

• Develop and execute training based on individual needs or management recommendations.

• Maintain training records within the Quality Management System (QMS).

• Perform specific interval follow ups to ensure trained processes are being adhered to.

• Coordinate intercompany training activities.

• Support CPS, 5S and QMS to meet audit/assessment standards.

• Maintains a safe working environment (by practicing safe measures, investing in conversations about safe practices and reviewing safe job procedures).

• Improves Shop Efficiency, Productivity and Employee Engagement by working collaboratively, thinking creatively and providing innovative suggestions.

Education and Experience:

Education:

• Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Certified to operate power industrial truck

Experience:

• Five years’ experience in Manufacturing & 3PL environments
• Minimum of one (1) year related, verifiable experience in assembly/3PL environment
• Previous experience training a diverse group of people to attain organizational goals

Knowledge:

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Training
• Accident/incident investigations

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to manage multiple tasks

Communication: Ability to train, coach, and communicate safety policies effectively.

Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Job Details:

• Location: 1601 N Main St. Morton, IL
• Shift: 3rd Shift (11 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Pay: $55,000 annually
