What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Safety Management (PSM) Engineer position at G-3 Chickadee Purchaser LLC?
G‑3 Chickadee—formerly part of Goodyear Chemical—is undergoing a major transformation. As a newly independent, Private Equity–backed organization, we are modernizing our infrastructure, implementing new systems (SAP, MES, cybersecurity), and building a strong operational foundation for continued growth.
We are seeking a Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator to ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHAs) PSM and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Risk Management Program (RMP) standards for our four Chemical plants.
This position’s primary duties include oversight of the Mechanical Integrity Inspection Program, coordination of process hazard evaluations, participation in the management of the change process, compliance/audit responsibility for PSM procedures and collaboration with other functional teams (at each Chemical plant) to ensure action plans are complete and on schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee compliance requirements of OSHA's PSM and EPA RMP
- Coordinate the Mechanical Integrity Inspection Program to maintain compliance with PSM regulations and ensure PSM compliance audits for all Chemical Plants.
- Track/Assist plants in completing PSM-related corrective actions
- Coordinate process hazard evaluations and facility siting study programs
- Actively participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Maintain PSM/RMP key performance indicators and support the training of PSM team leaders (as necessary)
What You Bring
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 4 years of experience in a petrochemical or manufacturing environment
- 3 years of (hands-on) experience in Process Safety Management
Preferred
- Master’s degree in engineering. Professional Engineer's license, API 510/570, API 653
- Background in the mechanical integrity element of Process Safety Management
Our Ideal Candidate
- Working knowledge of recognized/generally accepted good engineering practices - Preferably API, NFPA, OSHA, ASME and ANSI
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
- Experience in leading process hazard analysis (PHA) reviews using PHA-Pro

The salary range provided is a general guideline and may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and location. Final compensation will be determined through the interview process.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
