Your Impact: Key Responsibilities
As our Medical Front Office Receptionist (which we internally refer to as our Client Care Specialist), you are essential to the daily operations of the clinic. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Patient Experience: Greet and warmly welcome patients, ensuring a great first and lasting impression.
- Scheduling & Communication:
- Confirm and manage all patient scheduling, appointments, reminders, and cancellations (via phone, e-mail, etc.).
- Manage the front office, including answering phones, checking office mail and email, and acting as a go-between for patients, clinical staff, and referring physicians.
- Fax reports to physicians and meticulously log all incoming and outgoing reports.
- Communicate proactively with management and clinicians regarding scheduling and patient arrivals.
- Financial & Insurance Management:
- Perform verification of benefits (VOB) and expertly communicate the explanation of coverage (EOC) to patients.
- Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients.
- Collect and accurately manage all payments.
- File patient insurance claims and proactively follow up on outstanding claims.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of various insurance plans and networks.
- Administrative Tasks: Utilize PROMPT for all patient scheduling and record keeping.
Qualifications & Attributes We're Looking For
The ideal candidate for this role will embody a positive attitude and possess the organizational skills necessary to manage a busy front office.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to our assigned facility in the Monroe/Indian Trail area.
- Demonstrated experience in a front-office, administrative, or customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
