What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Shop Maintenance Personnel/Janitor position at FYDA FREIGHTLINER GROUP?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Light building maintenance to include light replacement, painting, plumbing, air system & shop tool repair
- Remove snow from the driveway, parking lot and walk ways in the winter
- Clean & fill paper for the bathrooms
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of driver's lounge
- Wipe down the cabinets and counter top in the customer workstation area
- Maintain cleanliness in all stairways.
- Inspect all doors and doorframes in service department, wipe down and clean any dirt/grease/handprints from them everyday.
- Dump trash from all shop trashcans everyday.
- Sweep up any debris on the shop floor.
- Operate floor scrubber in the service shop.
- Roll up air hoses and electrical cords and store in designated area.
- Clean and store drain pans.
- Clean tops of workbenches.
- Sweep aisle walkways by service office and by parts counter.
- Clean and maintain wash bay.
- Clean the pit and the surrounding area, ensure there is no fuel, oil or grease to cause a slipping hazard.
- Sweep along all of the walls, between every roll up shop door, and all of the corners of the shop at least once a week.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of building exterior, lighting, etc.
- Maintain all areas of parking lot to include removal of trash and weeds.
- Maintain break areas, bathrooms and locker rooms.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with employees.
- Complete knowledge of in house business systems and along with other partner systems.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and maintain composure.
- Ability to work independently and to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
