Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive pelvic floor and orthopedic physical therapy evaluations, including internal and external assessment (as appropriate)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for pelvic health conditions, including:
- Urinary incontinence and urgency
- Pelvic pain and dyspareunia
- Pregnancy and postpartum recovery
- Core and pelvic floor dysfunction
- Deliver skilled interventions including manual therapy, pelvic floor retraining, neuromuscular re-education, and therapeutic exercise
- Educate patients on pelvic health, movement strategies, and long-term wellness
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes
- Collaborate with referring providers and healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Support growth and development of pelvic health services
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist license (or eligibility)
- Experience or strong interest in pelvic health / pelvic floor physical therapy
- Completion of pelvic health coursework (Herman & Wallace, APTA Pelvic Health, or equivalent) preferred
- Ability to perform or willingness to be trained in internal pelvic floor examination and treatment
- Strong understanding of orthopedic and movement-based rehabilitation
- Excellent communication and patient education skills
- CPR and First Aid certification
