What are the responsibilities and job description for the Middle School Associate Principal position at FWH Middle School?
Summary:
To assist the Principal in meeting the goals outlined in the School Improvement Plan and Blueprint for District Improvement.
To assist students with their ability to solve any academic, social or emotional challenges that may interfere with their overall progress.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
Support teachers with all teaching, learning, data and planning needs.
Serve on the school’s Instructional Leadership Team.
Support the development and implementation of the School Improvement Plan and Targeted PD plan.
Support the implementation of Professional Learning Communities.
Facilitate professional development.
Lead the development and implementation of the school’s annual MCAS action plan building assessments.
Assist in the evaluation of staff members and programs.
Serve on the District’s leadership team.
Assist the principal with the general administration of the school.
Serve as a principal when the principal is absent.
Ensure compliance with State and Federal and Special Education laws and regulations.
Assist the principal with screening, recruiting, hiring, training, and assigning of school staff.
Participate as part of the school council when requested.
Facilitate positive school culture and climate.
Collaborate with counselors on social-emotional programs and direct student support.
Assist in the management of student behavior and discipline.
Attend and assist in evening programs.
Such other responsibilities as the Superintendent of Schools and /or Principal may deem appropriate.
Salary : $110,000 - $118,000
