The Assistant Principal will play a critical role in shaping the culture, systems, and instructional vision. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong instructional leadership, operational expertise, and a deep commitment to building a positive and inclusive school community. This leader will guide a team of certified administrators, educators, and support interventionists to advance academic excellence and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities
•Provide instructional leadership to promote high levels of student achievement and continuous school improvement.
•Establish a positive, inclusive, and safe school culture that support students, staff, and families.
•Recruit, supervise, support, and evaluate faculty and staff.
•Lead the development and implementation of curriculum aligned with district and state standards.
•Manage school operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and facilities coordination.
•Foster strong partnerships with families and the community.
•Use data to inform decision making and instructional practices.
•Ensure compliance with district policies, state regulations, and federal requirements.
•Collaborate with district leadership on strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
Qualifications
•Rhode Island certification as a School Principal or eligibility for certification.
•Master’s degree or higher in Educational Leadership or a related field.
•Demonstrated experience in elementary education leadership.
•Strong knowledge of curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
•Proven ability to build collaborative teams and positive school culture.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Experience managing school operations and budgets preferred.

Compensation
Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience, in accordance with district administrative contracts.
