Maria’s Oyster Bar is looking for friendly, dependable, and energetic Bartenders and Servers to join our front-of-house team. Responsibilities
Bartender
- Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently.
- Provide knowledgeable, welcoming service at the bar and in dining areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
- Verify guest identification and follow all responsible alcohol-service requirements.
- Process guest checks and payments accurately.
- Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure a smooth guest experience.
Server
- Greet guests promptly and provide attentive, friendly service from arrival through departure.
- Describe menu items, seafood specials, beverages, and daily offerings with confidence.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them clearly to the kitchen and bar.
- Deliver food and drinks in a timely manner while checking in on guest satisfaction.
- Maintain clean, organized tables and service stations.
- Handle cash, credit-card, and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Support teammates during busy shifts and help maintain a positive, professional dining environment.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant, bar, or hospitality experience preferred; training may be available for the right candidate.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable standing and moving throughout a shift and lifting up to [30–40] pounds as needed.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and high-volume service periods.
- Applicants must meet all applicable age and alcohol-service requirements.
