FutureTech Recruitment is partnered with a $75M funded Series B B2B SaaS / DevTools startup backed by top-tier institutional investors. The company builds developer-facing infrastructure that thousands of engineering teams depend on to ship product faster - trusted by companies ranging from high-growth startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. AI is central to their roadmap and they are scaling rapidly.
They’re now hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to be the single-threaded owner of a core Growth engineering org - leading 10 engineers across multiple teams and owning the full customer journey on their highest-revenue product line. You’ll manage managers and senior ICs, set technical direction, and drive high-velocity execution in a fully in-person team in NYC.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage a multi-team engineering org of 10 engineers, including managers and senior ICs
- Own the end-to-end customer journey - from onboarding through feature adoption and customisation
- Partner cross-functionally with product, design, GTM, and leadership to deliver high-impact initiatives
- Set technical direction for the team and participate in architecture and design reviews
- Drive adoption of AI-enabled development and automation across the team
- Foster a high-ownership, collaborative culture within a fully in-person NYC team
Requirements
- 8 years of software engineering experience with 2-3 years in engineering management
- Experience managing managers or team leads
- Led and built full-stack product engineering teams at a B2B software startup (Seed to Series D)
- Owned or heavily influenced product roadmaps and outcomes
- Deep expertise in Python and the AWS ecosystem
- Experience building with or integrating AI tooling - professionally or personally
- High-ownership leader with a bias for action and speed
