Data Lead / Architect

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 4 days/week onsite)

Type: Long-Term Contract

Must-Have Skills

• 13  years of Data Engineering / Analytics delivery experience

• End-to-end ownership of large-scale Data Platform implementations

• Strong hands-on expertise in Spark, Scala, and SQL

• Deep experience with Azure Synapse Analytics

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (preferred)

• Metadata-driven architecture and Data Warehousing

• Technical leadership of Data Engineering, Architecture, and Analytics teams

• Team management experience (10  resources)

• Performance optimization, refactoring, and platform modernization

• Establishing automation frameworks and reusable development patterns

• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication

• Local-first, code-first development environments

• Ability to work hands-on at code and architecture level

• Experience in Marketing Data, Marketing Analytics, or Consumer Goods (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of the Symphony Data Platform

• Lead architects, engineers, BAs, and QA teams

• Drive platform optimization, maintenance, and modernization initiatives

• Serve as primary technical escalation point

• Enforce delivery standards and best practices

• Present technical decisions and delivery status to stakeholders
