Electrical Engineer / Designer (3 Years)

Overview
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer or Designer with 3 years of experience to join a growing MEP consulting firm in Orlando. This role will focus on the design of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial, education, government, and healthcare facilities. This is a great opportunity to work alongside senior engineers while continuing to develop your technical and project experience.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low voltage systems
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation
- Perform load calculations, panel schedules, and equipment sizing
- Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to develop coordinated design models and drawings
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural teams
- Assist with field investigations, site visits, and construction administration
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes including NEC and local regulations
- Support project teams in meeting deadlines and client expectations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- 3 years of experience in MEP consulting or building systems design
- Proficiency in Revit and/or AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of NEC and building electrical systems
- Experience working on commercial, education, government, or healthcare projects
- EIT preferred or on track toward licensure
