Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop electrical plans, specifications, and construction documents for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects
- Perform electrical design tasks including power distribution, lighting layouts, photometric calculations, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage systems
- Design systems in accordance with NEC, NFPA, IECC, and other applicable codes and standards
- Assist with projects from conceptual design through construction administration
- Coordinate with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines
- Conduct site visits and field investigations to gather existing conditions and support project development
- Participate in design reviews, QA/QC efforts, and technical coordination meetings
- Support energy-efficient and sustainable design initiatives
Qualifications
You will be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience in a consulting engineering environment
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure in the future
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 72, IECC, and other applicable building codes
- Experience designing electrical systems for commercial, institutional, healthcare, education, or industrial facilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
Salary : $85,000 - $120,000
