Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Lawyer based in New York, NY. The Lawyer will be responsible for providing legal advice and support across various aspects of the organization’s activities. This includes drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, conducting legal research, and assisting with legislative analysis. The candidate will also play a key role in managing legal risks, supporting decision-making processes, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Expertise in legal research, especially campaign finance rules
- Proficiency in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal documentation
- Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and ethical standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law
- Experience with nonprofit organizations or government-related legal work is a plus
