We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control functions within our fabrication and manufacturing operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and company quality systems while driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the Quality Control team, including quality and welding inspectors.
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
- Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection plans, and documentation.
- Lead management review meetings and present KPIs, audit findings, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives to executive leadership.
- Write, review, and maintain WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation.
- Manage nonconformance reports, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, blueprints, welding procedures, and industry codes.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, purchasing, and operations to resolve quality issues.
- Manage calibration programs and lead internal and external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce scrap, rework, and production delays.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of Quality Control experience in fabrication or manufacturing.
- 3 years in a management or supervisory role.
- 3 years of internal and external audit experience.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience writing and maintaining WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records.
- Proven management review experience with executive-level reporting.
- Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred.
