Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain marine engines, electrical systems, and onboard equipment
- Perform advanced troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems
- Rig and install outboard engines, including repower projects
- Install and configure marine electronics and navigation systems
- Execute custom rigging, retrofits, and system upgrades
- Conduct sea trials to validate performance and ensure quality standards
- Safely launch and recover vessels
- Complete service work in accordance with company standards and timelines
- Perform warranty repairs in compliance with manufacturer guidelines
- Communicate technical findings clearly with internal teams
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support team members with complex technical challenges as needed
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 3 years of marine technician experience (senior/master level preferred)
- Strong knowledge of marine DC electrical systems
- Proven experience with outboard engines and repower installations
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
- Experience installing marine electronics
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to tow vessels up to 35 feet
- Experience launching and recovering vessels
- Must provide personal technician tools
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred:
- Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Mercury, Yamaha, Honda)
- Experience with advanced marine electronics and networking systems
- Familiarity with SeaKeeper Ride or similar stabilization systems
- Strong rigging or boat-building experience
