We're looking for an early-career Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Department in Hartford, CT, and get real experience across a variety of roadway and traffic design projects — not just supporting work, but actual design contributions from the start.

What You'll Do
- Conduct traffic analysis and forecasting
- Perform traffic impact studies
- Contribute to the design of highway and road layouts
- Conduct speed studies
- Help implement complete streets designs
- Support securing necessary permits and approvals
- Assist with corridor modeling
- Estimate costs for transportation infrastructure construction projects
- Provide transportation support on large, multidisciplinary civil/site projects, including:
- Public schools design
- Collegiate/secondary education facility design
- Rail trail/bike path design
- Drainage & culvert design
- Bridge replacement projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT registration preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Synchro is a plus
- Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a bonus
- Exposure to CTDOT standards is helpful but not required
