Window Tint Installer — Qualifications
Required:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on automotive window tinting experience (this is not an entry-level or trainee role)
Proven ability to install film on curved rear windshields using heat-shrink methods (bubble-free, no fingers or light gaps)
Experience with computer-cut plotter systems and hand-cutting film when needed
Ability to work with ceramic, carbon, and dyed films; familiarity with major brands (XPEL, 3M, Llumar, SunTek, or similar)
Working knowledge of Utah window tint VLT laws and ability to advise customers on legal limits
Portfolio or references demonstrating clean, professional installs
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (mobile jobs)
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a shop environment
Preferred:
Certification from a film manufacturer (XPEL, 3M, Llumar, etc.)
Experience with paint protection film (PPF) or windshield protection film
Experience in an auto glass or detailing shop
Familiarity with GlassBiller or similar shop management software
Comfortable interacting directly with customers and explaining film options
Responsibilities:
Remove old tint and prep glass to a clean, contaminant-free surface
Cut, heat-shrink, and install film to factory-quality standards
Maintain film inventory and keep the tint bay clean and organized
Quality-check every install before vehicle release
Support the windshield team when tint volume is low
Pay: $25.00 per hour
