Title: Salesforce Consultant

Location: Boston, MA (HYBRID)

Work Status: GC / Citizen

Years of Experience: At least 8 to 10 years


Candidate should have Education domain experience, Any university or Education Institution

(Mandatory).


The Client is seeking proposals for a qualified IT consultant to provide support for the

ongoing development and customization of the existing CRM tool to fit the needs and

administrative operations of the Graduate and ONLINE recruitment and admissions offices.

1. Responsibilities

● Recruiting and Student Success Ops Definition: Develop standard operating procedures

(SOPs) and documentation for Recruiting and Student Success support operations. Facilitate

knowledge transfer to GPS Enrollment Operations team.

●Marketing Cloud / Journey Development: Design data and journey flow for Marketing

Cloud. Identify blockers for Marketing Cloud development, including data, process, and

business requirements gaps.

● Roadmap Development and Stakeholder Alignment: Develop a forward-looking roadmap

of GPS business initiatives, including technology and business process initiatives. Align GPS

and UML stakeholders around roadmap priorities.

● Business Process and Data Quality Improvement: Lead initiatives for business process

and data quality improvement.

● Dashboards / Reporting: Design and build dashboards for operational and management

reporting.

4.1 Business Skills

● Business Process Definition: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define and

document end-to-end business processes, improving efficiency and accountability.

● Documentation: Create detailed process maps, SOPs and user guides to support

knowledge transfer and onboarding.

● Business Analysis: Gather requirements, analyze workflows and translate

business needs into actionable system and process changes.

● Reporting: Design and maintain performance dashboards and operational reports to track

KPIs and inform decision-making.

●Change Management: Lead change enablement efforts to ensure smooth adoption

of new systems and processes through communication and training.

● Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate alignment among business, IT and executive

teams to clarify priorities and ensure shared understanding of goals.


4.2 Strategy Skills

● Road mapping: Develop roadmaps linking business priorities to technology investments

and operational initiatives.

●Development of KPIs: Define measurable goals and success metrics to align initiatives with

strategic outcomes.

●Business Case Development: Build business cases that quantify costs, benefits and

risks to guide executive decision-making.

●Journey Mapping: Create prospect and student journey maps to identify pain points and

prioritize improvement opportunities.

● Strategic Planning: Support leadership in setting long-term direction, resource allocation

and sequencing of transformation efforts.


●Executive Communication: Produce concise executive briefings, summaries and

presentations that connect technical detail to strategic impact.


4.3 Technical Skills

● Salesforce:

○ Architecture Best Practices: Exhibit fluency in Salesforce System Architecture best

practices.

○ Apex: Design and maintain Apex triggers, classes, and batch jobs to automate data and

process workflows.

○ Reports/Dashboards: Build and optimize reports and dashboards to provide real-time

visibility into marketing, recruiting and enrollment metrics.

● Marketing Cloud: Design dynamic Marketing Cloud journeys that leverage AMPscript,

SQL, and Data Extensions to personalize engagement at scale.

● Business Intelligence: Build dashboards using business intelligence tools (Tableau,

Snowflake, SQL, Python) to support executive and operational decision-making.


● Integration Architecture: Design integrations between Salesforce and external

systems using APIs and event-driven frameworks.

● Artificial Intelligence: Design AI-driven solutions using retrieval-augmented

generation and model context to enhance knowledge management and automation.

●Developer Productivity: Manage version control and collaborative development

environments using Git/GitHub and VS Code.

●Form Assembly: Configure complex FormAssembly forms and connectors to automate

lead capture and data updates with robust error handling.
