Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Finance Budget Officer. This role requires a self-starting professional with extensive experience managing complex budgets and portfolios within the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will have recent, hands-on experience with client financial systems, including BASIS, and be capable of working independently with minimal supervision. This is a high-impact position supporting a large and dynamic portfolio, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee a large, complex financial portfolio for the OAI mission.
Utilize client-specific financial tools (e.g., BASIS) to develop, monitor, and report on budget execution.
Prepare and present financial data to leadership and stakeholders in support of mission objectives.
Independently identify and resolve financial discrepancies or issues.
Provide expert guidance on budget formulation, execution, and closeout processes.
Ensure compliance with agency financial policies and procedures.
Required Skills
Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.Recent, direct experience with client financial systems, especially BASIS.
Demonstrated success managing large and complex financial portfolios with minimal oversight.
Strong knowledge of federal budgeting processes, financial regulations, and reporting requirements.
Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with additional client financial tools and reporting mechanisms.Ability to quickly adapt to evolving mission and funding priorities.
